Quick and Easy Pumpkin Corn Bisque

For a fast weeknight meal that satisfies, try this nutritious warming soup. It’s naturally gluten free and makes the perfect partner for a piece of gluten free crusty French bread.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dairy-free butter substitute
  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1 can pumpkin purée
  • 1 can milk*
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh sage leaves, finely minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Dash of black pepper 
  1. In a 2-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté 1-2 minutes until golden in color and aromatic.
  3. Add corn and stir.
  4. Add pumpkin, milk and seasonings.
  5. Stir and simmer until soup just begins to come to a boil; add sage and stir.
  6. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.


  • Use dairy - or plant-based milk in this recipe.
  • Add more seasonings or spices as you wish.
  • Makes approximately 6 cups.
  • Store leftover in the fridge up to 2 days
